Meanwhile, a bored Christopher finds his microphone and decides to talk to it

I talk to myself a lot (it keeps me sane) but I thought that I might as well do one of these spangly audioblogs.

I have a nice bit of flash which functions as an inline, in-page slimeline mp3 player, so I'll give that a whirl later tomorrow (when I have the nervous energy, I'm going to bed now... Yes I know it's the morning). Until I get that sorted, if it tickles your fancy (and maybe arouses your curiosity) you can download/listen to the file by clicking here:

width="17" height="17" alt="" /> My welcome message.

I've decided on monaural 56kbps MP3, not that it really makes much difference for speech... So anyway, now if you've ever wondered what I sound like and fancy finding out, you can.

All automagically, rather clever stuff ain't it.

I listened to this. Very good! You should do this more often. It's nice to figure out people's accents. I wondered if you were Scottish as you used the word "numpty" which is a Scottish word. I would like to be able to do this sort of thing but I'm a techno-luddite. Can't even put pictures on my blog. Useless! :)

I am part Scottish, it's from my mum's, dad's side... All the little words and phrases have gradually become part of my vocabulary thanks to my grandparents and parents :D

Oh! Well there you go. I'm about 5/8ths Scottish and 3/8ths English. Parents are into genealogy which is why I know it to that degree. I am Scottish, grew up in Edinburgh but have lived my adult life in England so I think of myself as "British" now, its a useful catch-all phrase.
